Our Film/Video program celebrates the art of cinema past and present through all genres and formats. With 200 screenings per year, you'll find a stellar program of independent filmmaking, international cinema, documentaries, and classics from the familiar to the forgotten. With a frequent calendar of filmmaker appearances at the Wex, we offer audiences personal insights from today’s most significant directors, whether emerging or renowned. And our dedicated video exhibition space, The Box; features provocative new work throughout the year.

The Wex is also the only contemporary art center in the country to provide year-round professional and financial support to working filmmakers through our Film/Video Studio Residency program.
